We are the only clinic in Anchorage possessing the clinical competencies required to comprehensively evaluate and treat TMJ/head-neck disorders and complex orthopaedic injuries, and we have been serving Anchorage in this capacity since 1988. We have seen and helped thousands of Alaskans live a better quality life.
We work very closely and partner with the most respected physicians and dentists in the state, and we also take patients on a direct access basis (no referral needed). We provide the best quality first-visit evaluations and consultations, and we treat every client with dignity, respect and empathy. We have quiet, private treatment rooms.
We are locally owned and operated, and Dr. Catherine Mormile is board certified by the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties in orthopaedics, the highest level of competency any physical therapist may obtain. Our high level of professional achievement, along with our exceptional integrity, skill and compassion, makes us the "must see" clinic for all your rehabilitative needs.
What makes us special? Why is it important to see highly specialized physical therapists?
In 2000, the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) presented Vision Statement 2020 that stated the following: By 2020 physical therapy will be provided by doctors of physical therapy recognized by consumers and other health care professionals as the practitioner of choice and to whom consumers have direct access for the diagnosis, intervention, and prevention of impairments, functional limitations, and disabilities related to movement, function, and health. Furthermore, they stated that these doctors of physical therapy will be encouraged to become peer-reviewed board certified specialists in their chosen fields, so that the public may make a more informed choice in healthcare. APTA Vision Statement for Physical Therapy 2020 [HOD 06-00-24-35] 2000.
The local community need not wait until the year 2020 to find a highly trained doctor of physical therapy who is board certified as an orthopaedic specialist. The future is here now at Mormile Physical Therapy. Dr. Catherine Mormile is a recognized doctor in the field as well as certified specialist. She and her staff readily communicate with all medical and dental physicians to assure the best possible care for the patient. She also seeks referral from other physical therapists for patient consultation purpose.
